预防甲流的诀窍

对于他提出的以下几点建议,我认为很有意义,在此有必要让大家都知道。
甲流病原体能进入人体的唯一门户就是鼻孔、口和咽喉。尽管种种预防措施已经实施,可是面对甲型流感的全球性疫情,想要完全避免接触甲流病毒几乎是不可能的。与其想尽办法不接触甲流病毒,不如通过防止病毒扩散来达到预防的目的。
即便是现在,你的身体状况很好,也没有显示任何甲流的症状,但如果你要防止甲流病毒在体内激增和扩散,引发并发症从而产生继发性感染,你可以采取一些简单的措施,这些措施往往没有在官方通报中得到足够重视(他们更强调如何库存 N95 和特敏福)。
步骤如下:
1 .       频繁洗手(这在所有的官方通报中都提到)。
2 .       “手不碰脸”的方法。除非你需要吃东西、洗澡或者给自己一耳光,否则就使出浑身解数避免用手接触脸的任何部位吧。
3 .       * 每天用温盐水漱口两次(如果觉得盐水不卫生,也可以用李斯特林漱口水代替)。 * 甲流病毒在感染初期后,要通过在鼻腔或者喉头 2-3 天的激增才会显示典型症状。简单的漱口可以防止病毒激增。从某种意义上讲,一个健康的人用盐水漱口,和一个病发者使用特敏福的作用是一样的。不要低估这个简单廉价却强有力的预防措施。
4 .       与第 3 点相似, * 每天用温盐水清洗鼻孔至少一次。 * 或许不是人人都擅长特贾拉涅提或者沙鲁尔涅提(两种有效清洁鼻腔的瑜伽体式),可是 * 每天用力地擤一下鼻子,再用蘸过温盐水的棉签擦洗鼻孔可以有效地降低病毒数量。
5 .       通过吃富含维生素 C 的食物(如 Amla 等柑橘类水果)来提高你的自然免疫力。 * 如果你必须服用维生素 C 药片补充,请确保药片中含有锌元素以促进维生素 C 的吸收。
6 .       * 尽可能地多喝热水 ( 比如茶和咖啡 ) 。 * 喝热水的效果和漱口相同,但作用方向相反。热水可以把增殖中的病毒从喉头清洗入胃,在胃里病毒不可能生存,或者通过增殖扩散对人体产生任何伤害。

Prevent Swine Flu – Good Advice

Presently, he is heading our Nuclear Medicine Department and Thyroid clinic at Riddhivinayak Cardiac and Critical Centre, Malad (W).
The following message given by him, I feel makes a lot of sense and is important for all to know.
The only portals of e ntry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it’s almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.
While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):
1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).
2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat, bathe or slap).
3. *Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don’t trust salt). *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don’t underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.
4. Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. *Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.*
5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.
6. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, etc) as you can. *Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.
I suggest you pass this on to your entire e-list.  You never know 20 who might pay attention to it – and STAY ALIVE because of it.
